An Iowa Native, Amanda Lundstedt is a board-certified licensed massage therapist and holds a BSBA from Drake University. After graduating from Drake, Amanda moved to Colorado and worked for a non-profit organization. While always interested in healthy living and CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine), living in Colorado honed these interests.

After returning to Iowa permanently, Amanda enrolled in Orthopedic, Sports, and Medical Massage Therapy at Body Wisdom Massage Therapy School in Urbandale, Iowa. While at Body Wisdom, Amanda studied under one of the premier sports massage therapists in the world, Mr. Brian Glotzbach. Amanda is educated in advanced and established sports massage techniques. A life-long learner, she continues her massage education to include the most innovative techniques.

Upon completing her massage licensing education at Body Wisdom, Amanda continued her massage studies at Parker Chiropractic University in Dallas, Texas. In the summer of 2016, Amanda was accepted into the prestigious XPE CORE Sports Bodywork Team Certification and Clinical Mentorship Program in Boca Raton, Florida. In this program, Amanda worked with professional athletes from the NFL and NHL.

Since 2016, Amanda is also a continuing education provider in Sports Massage Therapy and Business Marketing for massage therapists throughout the United States.  She is a board-certified continuing education provider.

In 2018, Amanda obtained the distinction of becoming a board-certified licensed massage therapist, and shortly thereafter was accepted into the United States Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Program as a licensed massage therapist.  In May of 2019, Amanda completed her sports medicine rotation at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She is currently pursuing the professional opportunity to join Team USA at the 2020 (rescheduled to summer 2021) Tokyo Olympics as a licensed sports massage therapist.

In 2021, Amanda was honored to be appointed by Governor Reynolds to serve on the State of Iowa Board of Massage Therapy.  In this public service role, Amanda works hard to advance the massage therapy profession and public health via massage therapy.

An avid athlete herself, Amanda brings to Active Edge a love of sport and movement of the human body. Her personal experience with distance running, biking, triathlons, CrossFit, and more all contribute to her practice and success as a sports massage therapist. Currently, Amanda trains as a triathlete and loves competing at the age-group level with USA Triathlon.  Her discipline, focus, hard work, and passion for the sport have allowed her multiple age-group wins as a triathlete.  Amanda is passionate about helping others and living life to the fullest. She and her family are active in a variety of arenas in the Greater Des Moines area.
